Word was received that Fred Gertsch died suddenly from a hemorrhage in an asylum in Paris Iowa He was born in Switzerland in 1843 came to Paris in 1399 with his wife and family He joined the church in Switzerland and his home was a mission station The funeral services were held in the Second ward House Tuesday afternoon He leaves a wife Susan Gertsch and three children John Fred and Paul, formerly married to a Mr Wyler and had three children Charlie Mrs Charles Barischi of Nounan continues the family line
