Bloomington notes recount visits and illnesses in the Piggott and Ward families. Local residents attended church services, birthdays, hospital stays, and a measles concern while relatives arrived from Paris Logan and Salt Lake City for events and visits.
Hattie Vallentine led Sunday reorganization with Mac Bowman elected president and Dayle Mattson Vidella Booth as counselors. Sacrament speakers were Bishop Bryan Booth and Chris Carlson as eight musical numbers entertained the crowd. Community events included a Saturday church grounds cleanup and a ward party with TV programs and ads.
Local residents traveled to Salt Lake City Paris and Logan for family visits business and church activities. Social events included a reception in the Ovid chapel for Ray Matthews and a 4-H club leader meeting in Montpelier. A missionary testimonial in Evanston and a Style Review in Montpelier were noted among numerous weekend appearances.
Bishop Norman E Weston remains at home after a serious accident while Nathell Weston is treated for an infected ankle at Beny Lake hospital. Stanley Mattson reports a Salt Lake City check up and manages his ranch. Frank J Price and family return from Hendersonville NC with kin visiting Oregon and Mexico en route home. Marguerite Rich dies suddenly. friends offer sympathy. Milton Price stays with Frank J Price. Milton is co editor of the San Francisco Examiner.
Garden City residents record visits and illnesses with relatives in Ogden Liberty and Paris. Notable events include a gun accident injuring Floyd Kennedy and local death of Margarite Rich at Bear Lake Memorial hospital. Sacrament meeting speakers were Archie Vallentine and Arthur Shirley with Ruth Pugmire on organ.
