Meat Protection Law Enforcement Urged by Department
In view of warm weather and dealer noncompliance the department will strictly enforce provisions guarding fresh meats on display. It is unlawful to sell or expose meat game or fish contaminated by dust flies or insects and shops must be properly screened to prevent contamination. Violations carry fines from 25 to 300 dollars. new law requires net weight of lard to be stated on the main label in black letters at least a quarter inch high.
