Mrs. Roy A. Welker announced that a health nurse will arrive May 1 to start three months of work in Bear Lake County. The program will include weighings, follow-up visits, nutrition education, and classes on nursing topics for children, funded by a $250 county grant combined with $500 from the seal sale fund.
Mr and Mrs Charles Collings celebrate the birth of a baby girl born Wednesday morning. Both mother and child are doing nicely and the father is reported to survive.
Mr and Mrs Blissworth Cleveland of St. Charles welcome a baby girl born last Saturday. The mother and child are reported to be doing nicely. Blissworth says the baby is a natural born singer.
Arvid Law, son of Mrs. Susan Law, returned home Friday from New York after an eight month cruise with a grand opera company through Canada and the eastern states. He sang in a male chorus and shared experiences from his travels as the company finally broke up in New York.
Mr and Mrs Milo Anderson announce the arrival of their fourth child a son born at Fairview last week in Grover Wisconsin on April 11 The newborn adds to the family with Maurine and other siblings listed in the notice.

Mrs Arthur Taylor born January 12 1870 in Paris passed away in Ogden Utah after a lingering illness. She was a respected wife and mother of eight and active in the Second Ward Relief Society. Funeral services were held with speakers and music, and interment followed at the family cemetery plot.
Alfred C. Hymas and his twin Susan Orr of Liberty marked their 62nd birthday on Tuesday April 13 with family from two lines totaling 36 members. The day included a 10 am visit, a noon meal, outdoor games, and an evening program with refreshments lasting until 11 pm.

A months old baby of Mr and Mrs Rulon Beck of Ovid is critically ill after drinking carbolic acid yesterday. The child reached the bottle from a cupboard after climbing a chair and consumed part of the poison before discovery.
Logan Utah April 10 Dr Elmer G Peterson was re appointed president of Utah Agricultural College by unanimous trustees vote. Kenneth Ikler becomes dean of the school of agriculture and WE Carrol will act as swine nutrition specialist. Budgets approved include college proper 309000 experimental station 126000 extension division 93305 branch agricultural station 76020 power plant 23500 and a home economics cottage to be furnished by subscription for laboratory work in household administration.
Thirty-five carloads of potatoes were purchased by Idaho Falls from a Chicago firm at five dollars per hundred. G. C. Alder of Newdale arranged the deal. The contract specifies from 88,000 to 40,000 pounds per carload.

The telephone office relocates to a new building across from the post office on West Center Street. A crew of about seven men worked over a week to move equipment and update the setup. The facility includes a large switchboard room plus rest rooms, storage, and a kitchen. The operators praise the new home and vow to provide excellent service.
Emma Ward Thornock born in 1848 England died on the ninth of the month. She emigrated in 1864 and settled in Bloomington in 1866. She raised eight sons and three daughters and left many descendants. The funeral attracted large crowds with speakers praising her public service and family devotion. Interment followed in Bloomington cemetery.
The Paris First Ward conducted a Saturday cleanup surrounding the chapel site. Volunteers worked to tidy the lot and greatly enhanced the area’s appearance for the community.
