Courthouse Meeting Discusses Bear River Project Details
A Monday 1:30 pm meeting in Paris chaired by Roland Jaussi reviewed the Bear River project's purpose, circulated reports, and the Bureau of Reclamation's estimated costs and county impacts. Attendees included Dean Bischoff, Palmer DeLong, E. K. Thomas, Harold Hiskey, and local officials. The project seeks interest, funding from Congress, and potential taxation under a Conservation District to finance water delivery without Bear Lake level changes. County estimates show Bear Lake area and value impacts, with 60 year projections and parcel assessments varying by county.
