Directors Bate man Rich and Parley Buehler were re elected. officers include Solum Law Brown. Milk deliveries rose by 280000 pounds in 1946 to 14387178. butterfat payments totaled 459821.31 versus 342358.93 in 1945. Two new plant buildings nearing completion will add revenue and future creameries.

The University of Idaho Holstein herd earned a 10 year average production of 498 pounds fat per cow, ranking among the world’s top five UK producers. Idaho Echo Genevieve led 1946 figures with 9019 pounds fat and 26,6387 pounds milk when milked three times daily. A Bear Lake Rangers dance drew a large crowd with Gene Passey winning a bridle.

Sarah Elisabeth Clifton Shepherd a Bear Lake valley pioneer died suddenly at her daughter Alice Call's home in Ukiah California around 11 pm last Wednesday. Born April 17 1861 in Williamsburg New York she crossed to Utah as a Mormon convert with her family in 1861 1862 and settled near Paris Creek. She married Lorenzo Tracy Shepherd in 1880 at Salt Lake City and had 13 children with four predeceasing her.
