Worth Atkinson Suffering From Blood Poison After Hand Injury
Worth Atkinson endured a weeklong blood poisoning from a minor hand wound. On Wednesday he and Dr Holaday traveled to New Albany for a specialist consultation. He was admitted to St Edwardes Hospital where the surgeon removed the back of his hand and much of his little finger. He remains hospitalized but progressing well and hopes to return home soon. Mrs Samuel H Braxton returned to Indianapolis on Friday for hospital treatment.

Prominent attorney George Shirts dies at 68
George Shirts died at his home on Upper Lost River in North East township after weeks of throat cancer. He practiced law in Noblesville and Indianapolis, later joining Will H. Talbott of Orleans. he was 68 and leaves a family. Remains were moved to Noblesville after a service in Indianapolis.
