Friends report ex Audi tor George W Tegarden steadily improving after surgery and returning to his Orleans area home. Members of the Or lendr Lodge of Masons attended Christian Pro's funeral at Valeene. An all day meeting at Valeene Christian Church July 2 includes baptisms and sermons by Rev C K Dillman. Childrens Day exercises were held at the Baptist and M E Churches with strong turnout.

Narrow escape in auto plunge near holiday home
Miss Josie Boyd drove alone when her car went over a precipice on South Gospel street near Dr L Holiday’s home. The car rolled to the creek but she was uninjured though frightened. the vehicle showed only a bent fender and ran fine after recovery.
