Mary Heywood of Johnston to Utah Pioneer Passes at 70
Mary Bell Heywood aged 70 died Sunday night September 6 in Nauvo, Utah. Born January 2, 1800 in Johnstonshire Scotland she came with parents to Nauvo in 1810 where they died. She married Joseph Heywood in 1868 and settled Harmony then Panguitch. Survived by eight of eleven children and 41 grandchildren. Funeral at Panguitch Tabernacle Wednesday at 2 o clock. Also notes a fatal accident on the race track near Paragoonah killing William McBride, age about 47, and Mrs Elizabeth Robb of Paragoonah receiving treatment for sunstroke.
