Bert Creag and wife welcomed a son on Tuesday May 30, Walter Daly and wife welcomed a son, Stella Lister returned from Parowan, and Bert Norton with Thomas Lemmon bought two Paige cars in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Norton and two children left for Parowan, John R. Leo is ill with pneumonia, Clarence Lamoreaux and Arthur Leo returned from Cedar and Beaver, Clemant Tebbs is poorly after a Long Valley trip, Isaac Robertson attended conference with Ivank Beebo, Alton water works report good crops, Lena Crosby of St George visiting relatives then to Richfield Ephraim Castle Valley and Salt Lake in June for Mary’s wedding, Dr. Georgia Hanks and Alma Worthen stay in Panguitch, Lovina Montague and Dora visiting sister Josephine Norton, Ri Talbott moved to Hatch, Will R LeFevre and wife from Tropic visiting Panguitch.

Garfield County School Board Meeting Actions and Local News

Garfield County School Board met in Panguitch on Monday May 29 with all members present. They hired four or five teachers from outside the county and reviewed expansion plans for Cannonville and Coyote while reappointing F G Gardiner as County School Superintendent. A Memorial Day baseball game featured married men winning. Other notes include welcome visitors, trout restocking plans for East Fork Seuler River, and upcoming forest sale notices.
