Sevier Forest Receipts and Expenses for 1917

Net receipts for the Sevier Forest for the year ending June 30, 1917, totaled 18,996.14 with 15,793.41 from grazing rights, 1,011.21 from timber sales, and 203.44 from special privileges. Sevier Forest expenses amounted to 14,335.00, comprising 11,600.00 for salaries and 2,633.00 for improvements and miscellaneous costs. 85 percent of receipts supported Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Plute counties for roads and schools.

Monday report states Hy Davis' son Lyman fell against a barbed wire fence and sustained a deep arm cut requiring medical treatment. The incident occurred in a rural area and injuries are not life threatening.
