Seventy five pupils received diplomas in a Panama City Grammar School graduation held in the Harrison Avenue School auditorium. County Superintendent A L Hardy delivered the principal address as the class sang, with Marian Gay delivering the salutatory and Nannie Williams the valedictory. Nurses Council Hosts Distinguished Visitors Next Week
The Gulf Coast Council of Nurses will host three notable guests over the coming week. Mrs. Louisa Benham, secretary and treasurer of the Florida State Board of Examiners for nurses, arrives Tuesday May 9 and meets with the council. On Thursday May 11, Mrs. Taez Nelson, president of the Florida State Nurses Association, will visit with Miss Elizabeth Reed, district supervisor of Public Health Nurses. During Benham’s visit the Gulf Coast Council of Nurses meets the Bay County Medical Association at city hall at 8 p.m. The 11th includes an informal banquet in honor of the visiting nurses.
