Surprise Shower For Delma Jones Before May Wedding

The Ladies Aid Society of Second Advent Christian church held a surprise shower at the home of Mrs. Edgar Jones 133 Allen Avenue Millville for Miss Delma Jones bride elect of William Andrea Doty Jr to be wed May 7. Pink and white decorations graced living and dining rooms as bite sized treats and coffee were served. Guests and gift presenters included numerous local women and Delma Jones received many gifts, with others sending wishes.

A new garden club circle, the Japonica group, was formed in Millville yesterday afternoon at Mrs. Myrtle Wiggins home. Mrs. R. J. Love and Mrs. Bill Marshall presided as officers were chosen and plans laid for the year. Attendees included Mrs. F. M. Harris, Mrs. Carl Masters, Mrs. E. H. Wilcox, Mrs. A. L. Anderson, Mrs. John Silcox, Mrs. Harold Harding, Miss Blanch Williams, Mrs. J. C. Blackwell, Miss Flora Alice Wiggins, and others. Flora Alice Wiggins served tea and cake.

Master Hoke Grant Hosts On Seventh Birthday

Master Hoke Grant Jr son of Mr and Mrs Hoke Grant of St Andrews celebrated his seventh birthday with about 25 young friends Saturday afternoon at the Grant home on Chestnut street.
