Pampa Lions Miday elected Dr H Hicks retiring president and Olin E Hakle new president as delegates to the International convention in Mexico City July 23 26. C H Walker and Charlie Thut plan to join as delegates. President Hicks installed officers and John Sturgeon presented a past president’s pin.
London June 28 Jean Borotra says business comes before duels and he will not fight Didier Poulain immediately. He plans to return to Paris for an on the field dispute but insists the duel must eventually occur. Some suggest Sir Samuel Hoare intervene as foreign secretary.
Chief Art Hurst of Falloa announces a reward for the return of his lost badge, a gift from friends. The loss occurred Wednesday afternoon. A Pampas College student home for summer and working for the area is questioned about the incident. A local ball game at Road Runner Park tonight between the Road Runners and another team is noted, with Grover Belts mentioned.

The bill would guarantee collective bargaining and create a board to enforce labor relations rules.

J. J. Devine claimed proof after two lightning strikes hit the Schrier ranch headquarters ten minutes apart tearing holes in the roof and toppling the chimney. Dallas police said a 20 year old Socorro resident may match the description of the suspect in the disappearance of four Illinois tourists. The man, tattooed on the left arm, was arrested with two companions after a guard reported the attempt to crack a safe. He allegedly wore a Cher yl bought hat and claimed to be from Socorro but roamed around Albuquerque. Investigators plan to question him further as the desert mystery deepens.
