Fourth Victim of Automobile Accident Dies
SHAMROCK Special The fatal Sunday afternoon hillcrest crash 1.8 miles south of Shamrock on Highway 6 claimed its fourth victim when James Charles Flynt died at Shamrock General Hospital at 9 22. He had received blood transfusions for hemorrhaging and internal injuries. Funeral services for the boy and his mother Winnie Fay Flynt will be held at 3 30 p m today at the Church of Christ Wheeler with Rev Lytton and Rev A C Wood in charge. Theo Burson and Dorin Burton remained in critical condition with multiple injuries. Mrs Flynt was born September 22 1918 at Rule Texas and married Amasa Flynt in January 1929 at Sayre Oklahoma. The couple moved from Wheeler to Clovis in 1944 where they resided. Surviving are her husband three daughters Imogene Pratt of Texhoma Mary and Martha both in the fatal crash, her parents F C Crafford Wheeler and E Q Crafford Amarillo, two sisters L D Whiddon and Ivan Tucker Amarillo, and Mrs Edna Mae Burson wife of Theo Burson who were killed in the crash. Others injured include Dan Burson 13 and June Wood 16. The crash occurred when Burson attempted to pass upgrading and sideswiped the Flynt car causing it to roll into the Burron car.
