The convention adopted Hartford Music company song book as official for the year. In Los Angeles Robert S. James faced a superior court charge of murdering his wife Mary Busch James at the Crescenta bungalow last August. Prosecutors say he exposed her legs to snake bites and drowned her in a bathtub to collect life insurance. District Attorney Baron Fitts said he would call witnesses from Colorado about a prior wife, Winona Wallace James, who died in a tourist camp in Manitou, Cal.

About 225 attendees played first aid contests and a playground ball game with Mel Davis Refinery from Gray County winning first in First Aid. Second place tied between Clayton Gasoline plant and Production department. medals awarded. Gray county and Moore county teams competed in a 5 to 2 victory for Gray county in the playground game. Melear and Morgan provided key hits while Gray county’s Melear pitched.

Polo Captain Dr Overton Injured In Sunday Match
Dr M C Overton captain of the Pampa polo team was dislodged from his horse in a Plainview match against El Rojo of Plainview. He suffered a dislocated shoulder and will be incapacitated for one to two weeks. George Garrett replaced him at No 2. El Rojo led early and withstood a late rally to win 6 to 3, tying the series at one game each. Verne Bradley scored twice for El Rojo as Blackie Norris aided Plainview in the third chukker.
