Williamson County Oil Field Produces 5000-Barrel Well
The Williamson county oil field's highest well blew in just before midnight Friday on the M. V. Lawrence tract. Andy Anderson's Cameron No 8 produced about 5000 barrels, located west of the discovery well and 14 miles south of Taylor. Anderson drilled three rushers on a 20 acre tract from three wells. Paul McFarland and Jack Hardy started work with J. M. Radford Grocery Co.

Roy Albritton Held On $20,000 Bond In Amarillo Case
Roy Albritton was in federal custody in Amarillo after failing to post a $20,000 bail bond on charges of possession and sale of intoxicating liquor and conspiracy to violate the federal prohibition act. Bond for I. A. Cornett was set at $2,500. another bondsman, J. B. Wright, was accepted. Officers seized 141 pints of liquor, 6,000 in gold certificates, and $10 in travelers checks in a room above a drug store during the raid. The money remains with the Department of Justice as investigators pursue the owner. Eighteen people were involved in the case.

Ranger Scouts Camp and Night Outing Near Pampa
Eighteen Ranger Scouts from the troop sponsored by the Junator Methodist church camped Friday night on the Canadian river banks about fifty miles north of Pampa at the BRBL Reynulds ranch. Earl Baken of Hazleton Texas was arrested on a charge of operating and confidence game linked to a fraudulent Texas fruit farm sale. The claim stemmed from Rank Krall, a retired Chicago florist, who trusted Baken with a farm deed and payment but received no deed.
