Plane crash brings Puerto Rican passengers feared dead
San Juan officials reported 47 people missing and feared dead after a two motor C-4 plane jammed with Puerto Rican men women and children crashed in the Atlantic early today. The U S Coast Guard said 98 known survivors and 28 rescued by six am CST. Nineteen passengers were children and ten were women. One American crewman Al Cockrell of Pittsfield Mass reported missing.

Stolen Car Recovered Near Sie's Barn
Sheriff Kyle and two deputies recovered a Ford convertible coupe owned by W D Potter of Pampa after spotting it on a road near Sie's Barn at 12 30 a m Sunday. A man jumped from the car and was chased, captured a block and a half away. The suspect, J D Byhee of Pampa, claimed no car involvement. Byhee, AWOL from Camp Chaffee, Ark, had left the camp about 10 days ago with Clarence Searberry, also AWOL. Camp Chaffee authorities and military officials were notified.

Jet Plane Pilot Killed in Crash Near Williams Ariz
A U S Air Force pilot from Williams Arizona base died when his jet crashed four miles northeast of town. The aircraft skimmed a hill top then plowed through a 126 foot chicken house on Ernest Villadsen farm, exploding and burning the building and about two thousand chickens. The farmer and his wife Thelma reported the scene.

Condos Services Set Tomorrow
Funeral services for Joe Condo who died Sunday morning at a Shattuck hospital will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church with Rev. WH Douglas Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Luenkel Carmichael Funeral Home. Condo, 49, had been in poor health about two years and operated a dairy farm north of town for 12 years. He came to Pampa in 1928 from Crawford Ohio and worked at the Taylor Dairy until its 1927 sale. Survived by his wife Nancy Condo a son two daughters and one stepson all of Pampa his mother six brothers and two half brothers.
