Lefors man saved with portable iron lung at lake
Fred Corbitt, 21, of Lefors, was pulled from Lake McClellan after a fall about 5 p.m. He received artificial respiration from Dr. Roy Webb and a fake lifeguard until an ambulance arrived. The portable iron lung, used at the scene and again at Worley Hospital, helped keep him alive during a relapse. He is expected to be released soon.
