Mrs P A Worley saw lightning strike her Wilcox home yesterday as rain ceased. The house burned to the ground, furniture saved with help from neighbors, no insurance, rebuilding underway. Heavy rain flooded streets in Sunday deluge. two inches fell in Pampa aiding wheat and crops thirsting for moisture.

Travels 700 Miles To Meet Classmates
Miss Anes Roberts of Patipa has earned a growing reputation in Crockett county for home demonstration work. She traveled over 700 miles to attend her graduating class reunion at West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon, stayed briefly in Pampa, and then returned to her duties. Roberts earned an A.B. degree in 1925 after specialized work in home economics, with rural club teams gaining honors at A and M College through cooperative extension work in agriculture and the home.

League rebates mailed to Interscholastic contestants

Chamberlin and Levine Fall Short in Berlin Flight Try
A new aging distance record of roughly 3700 miles was pursued by Chamberlin and Levine after landing near Wisleben Germany. They aimed for Ber lin but lost their way in cloud banks and touched down in a marshy field southeast of the capital. Their plane ran low on gasoline and sustained motor trouble before alighting. The pair traveled 130 miles from Wisleben and hoped to reach Berlin if direction had held. It is believed they may try again tomorrow. Ambassador Schurman reported to Washington on the Berlin situation.

Material for Gas Line Arriving Daily in Pampa
Several loads of 20 inch pipe have arrived in Pampa and are being hauled to the Empire Gas and Week company's site on the C. Dodd property two miles from Pampa along LeFors road where a booster station will be erected. More pipe is arriving daily on the Santa Fe. Material is being laid for the booster station and nearby residences. The booster station will be the center of activity for the gas line extending to Kansas.
