West Texas Chamber kicks off two day WTCC drive
Eighty eight Pampa businessmen and guests attended a WTCC breakfast as the two day membership drive began. Fred Musbands outlined goals on water, highways, labor, farming, and advertising to “sell West Texas to the rest of the world.” Local leaders from Abilene to Canadian outlined past efforts to boost commerce, freight rate parity, and industry attraction, with sales kits provided for the campaign.

Widening For Kingsmill Soon
The Kingsmill widening project near Ballard to Gray will create a 72 foot business thoroughfare with sidewalks cut back six feet each side to add a traffic lane. The city commission approved widening at property owner expense after a 30 minute vote in favor. Work on tearing out sidewalks and laying the new 16 inch water main should start in about 10 days.
