NPS February Boating and Visitor Totals at Glen Canyon Sites

National Park Service tallies show February 1965 activity across Wahweap Lees Ferry Halls Crossing Bullfrog Basin Hite Rainbow Bridge and Glen Canyon Dam. Total boats 601 and visitors 5178 with Wahweap 25 percent below February 1964 and Lees Ferry 24 percent higher. Fishermen numbered 2154 with Wahweap hosting 1201 and Lees Ferry 616.

Craft School To Be Held In Page

Girl Scouts Honored for Camp Scholarship Donation

The former Senior Troop No 497 girls donated 29.57 to the Camp Scholarship Fund. President Helen G Lenander praised the gift as enabling a Page Girl Scout to attend summer camp. Disbanded troop members listed along with two advisors.

Fish Derby Offer Promises Prizes For Local Anglers

The Chamber of Commerce sponsors a now open fish derby with four prize categories for largest bass and trout by both women and men or boys. Entry costs $1 and must be registered before catching the fish. Tickets are at sporting goods stores and weigh-ins occur at Western Auto. Records will be posted at a later announced location.
