Northern Elections Shakeout Shows Mixed Outcomes
The Ohio result and northern contests show Republicans defeated in Ohio and under pressure elsewhere. Massachusetts and Connecticut lean Republican, New York and New Jersey swing Democratic, with Minnesota and Nebraska Republican. The North thus yields a mixed outlook for next year's presidential race with Democrats optimistic in several states.
