A Pachnes Mexico dispatch reports ten heretics burned in Texacape by order of the town judge after claiming divine visions. The mob seized, jailed, and executed six men three women and an infant as the judge proclaimed purging the evil in the town. Also noted is a Cincinnati derailment near Wheeling causing multiple deaths and injuries, and a Pelham Street sweatshop fire in New York killing four.
Henry J. Holmes was convicted of first degree murder in the killing of Benjamin F. Fitens in Philadelphia on November 4. He showed a slight cough when the verdict was read, signaling the verdict.

Humboldt fowl mill owned by Mayor A Cooper destroyed with losses around 1000000 and insurance up to 24000.
A major blaze in Ancama Nor has razed four acres destroying the hotel opera house delivery barn harness shop two grain elevators lumber yard barber shop post office two drugstores two saloons three general merchandise stores one furniture store one hardware store butcher shop boot and shoe store four barns and a vacant building. The loss is estimated at fifty five thousand dollars with partial insurance coverage.

Richard Barnett a Lake Shore and Michigan Southern conductor was shot last night near Erie while approaching from Buffalo. Three men attacked the train as it neared the station, Barnett was the sole casualty and is described as dangerously wounded with head injuries from the exchange of gunfire.
