Sermons Visitors and School Raise Local Hopes
Health is not good at this writ ing. There are more chills and fewer than ever before. Rev Hoyle of Paris delivered an excellent sermon here on Sunday. Claude Patterson and family of Oxford visited relatives. They drove out in their new Overland car. Our school will begin Monday in the new first class school house with E S Thompson and Ida J Lagrone as teachers. A crowd of young people from this place motored to College Hill Sunday and reported a delightful time. Ben McElreath and Tonie Jackson at College Hill for school. Sciley Metts at Oxford for school was at home Sunday. Mrs Walter Davis returned home after a visit with her parents at Abbeville. Sadie Nearing from the Delta is visiting relatives this week. Stanley Knight had his horse cut badly by wire last week. Mrs Joseph Smith and Mrs Ross were reported.
