The ninth annual convention of the Interdenominational State Sunday School Union ended last Thursday with distinguished divines and laymen in attendance. Over 900 dollars was raised to support Sunday school work. Delegates enjoyed music and speeches at C F College and were hosted by faculty and students. An officers slate for the 10th annual gathering in Greenwood was announced.

The senior class debate on Julius Caesar as the greatest man of all time drew a large audience at the University Chapel. Five cultured young ladies and several gentlemen debated with a tie verdict from judges including Profs Bondurant and Ferrer and Gov. Shands. E. W. Holmes of Yazoo City won first prize, Daisy Back took second for a laurel wreath. Don’t forget the elegant bread and cakes at Buffaloes.
