Death of S H Logan at Fort Worth Texas
The remains of Mr S H Logan aged about 50 arrived at Oxford and were taken to his home on South street. He had been ill for months and died Wednesday morning after reaching Fort Worth with his wife. He helped organize Guaranty Bank and Trust Company and served as its cashier. Funeral services planned at the Presbyterian church with interment at St Peters cemetery.

Senator W. V. Sullivan Dies at Home at Fifty
Senator W. V. Sullivan, longtime city attorney and later U S senator, died at his home on Thursday March 20 at about age 50. He had recently returned from Washington D C and resumed law practice before illness. Burial followed at St Peters cemetery on Friday.

Mrs Anna L Woodward Dies at 76 in Oxford Home
Mrs Anna L Woodward age 76 died at her daughter’s home on North Street Tuesday afternoon after a brief illness. Funeral from the home Wednesday conducted by Revs Woollard and Christian, burial at St Peters cemetery. Survived by two sons W M Woodward and W H Woodward and daughter Mrs J F Goolsby.

Lafayette Ships 42 Cars of Hogs in 1919 So Far
Lafayette county shipped 20 carloads of hogs totaling 2 100 head on Tuesday and 32 carloads in March totaling 3 400 head, bringing about $55 000 and $98 000 respectively. County demonstrator T W Bailey supervised the shipments. The three year trend shows rising hog, corn and egg outputs replacing cotton, with Lafayette leading among 22 North Mississippi counties in this growth.
