Claud Churchill shoots wife then dies by own hand
Claud E Churchill age 28 shot his wife at the Ivy home on South street and then turned the pistol on himself, dying from two gunshots. Mrs Churchill, 20, was wounded in the forehead and survived. An inquest returned the verdict that he died by his own hand. Funeral plans were announced for Hickory Flat.
