GUS SHEPPARD OUT WITH STATEMENT. In Oxford and Lafayette county many know Gux Sheppard a prominent farmer. At Rowland Drug Store he praised Tanlac saying it relieved his wife of long stomach troubles for twenty years. He claimed she now eats well sleeps better and is more active. The Atlanta distributor cited reports of improvements and rapid local sales. Rowland Drug Co. in Abbeville and J. B. Good in Abbeville list Tanlac availability with others in Burgess and surrounding areas.
The Eagle relocates to the old opera house on Court Square, offering a large, well equipped printing plant in north Mississippi. The new office space is 50 by 100 feet and includes 50,000 square feet of floor space after remodeling and repainting.

W H Hurdle of Holly Springs Mississippi marketed grade Angus steers in St Louis at 101 per hundred, the highest price yet paid for southern cattle. Mississippi bred cattle from Hurdle averaged 1206 pounds at 310, with mixed steers and heifers at 9.75. cows and heifers at 48.75. Hurdle says stock from his Marshall County farm shows southern herds can compete and be profitable.
Mrs Edmons rejoices as Halbert Neilson, fresh Boston Tech graduate, plans a Sunday visit to Oxford. The young man, praised by townsfolk, will study abroad after a six month course, as selected for foreign service.
