In Rock Creek Baptist Church, Lexington area, Rev. Robert Van Over and Rev. Isaac Perry fought with knives during a revival debate. Perry stabbed Van Over in the throat. Blaine Perry restrained Van Over as the fatal wound proved lethal. The church was crowded and panic followed. Both Perry and Blaine Perry were jailed in Williamsburg.
