City Endures Heat Wave Death Toll and Prostrations

Seaboard shops discharge forty workers amid management shakeup

In Cuamorre North Carolina a general manager’s offer led to about forty Seaboard shop workers being discharged. The master mechanic’s office was abolished and carpenters tinsmiths blacksmiths and machine helpers were released. Three boiler makers joined the strikers and the thirteen non union men imported by the company have left. Ernest Stump is named general master mechanic.
