State Auditor figures show hog taxation shifted with 20,085 hogs listed for taxation while 383,925 hogs remained non taxable. The notes indicate 13 percent rise in live stock assessment and widespread exemptions for free hogs under the tax policy.

Dr J W Myers testified Mrs Laura Farneworth Schenk bought poison from him, sugar of lead and Fowler's solution arsenic, as chauffeur Sandy Wilson described Mrs Schenk’s alleged improper relations with Daniel Phillips. Wilson testified to travel with Mrs Schenk and to her admissions.
Washington action tightens rules on removing suits against interstate corporations. The House adopted language to block removal of cases from state courts to federal courts on grounds of diverse citizenship. The provision says no suit against a corporation can be removed if filed in a state court where the plaintiff resides or where the action arises or where the defendant does business.
About 2,000 African American farmers from Georgia Alabama and Mississippi plus educators attended the 20th annual Negro farmers conference in Tuskegee. Booker T.
