Jordan drew a razor and inflicted three deep wounds, Boland in precarious condition. his wife’s former husband Melurn was killed resisting arrest last April after two weeks of marriage.
In Raymond Circuit Court, a black bus passenger won a $5,000 judgment against the Alabama and Vicksburg Railway for injuries after being struck by an engine. The railroad offered no defense. an officer testified legal notice was served. The verdict was entered with no jury deliberation.
