Editor notes examination of reported mineral finds around Lafayette County near Lafayette Springs and Bluff Springs. Oil indicators observed were gas escapes from decaying vegetation and iron oxide films. no oil signs of substance found. Hixson led the discoveries. the observer concludes the signs are of no importance.
