The Farmers Union of Mississippi shows firm intent to hold cotton off the market with widespread warehouse networks and broad farm membership. Reports note secret meetings, rapid charter growth, and plans to store cotton in 10 to 30 union facilities as season opens.
The great bush fires are reported to have killed about 125 people with property losses near 8 million dollars. Newport Ro 1 H. HH. Swafford a Human Apprentice at the naval training station was presented a gold medal by Admiral Trenchard of the Navy League in New York. Swafford scored 472 of 500 in the rifle competition as six hundred apprentices competed at the outdoor range. his home is Fort Worth Texas.
In Fort Wayne Indiana on Wednesday morning the bodies of Mr and Mrs Emile Jahne aged and well to do were found on the floor of their home both choked to death. The murder is thought to be robbers motive but no clue was found identifying the killer.

Thomas A McIntyre head of A McIntyre and Co died in Baltimore at Law y er J C Boyd home. He had failed for more than 100000 earlier and was indicted on six counts of grand larceny. He suffered from a liver disease.
The 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs H L Barr of a farm south of Webster City drowned after falling head first into a churn with several inches of water while playing in the yard. The accident occurred on the family premises.
