Obituary of Latra Beatrice Bennett in Oxbow
Latra Beatrice Bennett aged 26 years and 22 days died at home on a Sunday morning after a long TB illness. She was the wife of R A V Bennett and mother to a son. Funeral from the Bennett home led to All Saints Church and burial at Oxbow cemetery. She was the daughter of James E Henderson. The obit notes a lengthy but brave battle and the family’s relief at community sympathy with a devotional verse.

Splendid Sylvia Operetta Shown by Presbyterian Guild
Those who missed the Sylvia operetta presented by the Young People’s Guild of the Presbyterian church in King Edward hall last Thursday eve missed a rare treat. The performance drew praise from attendees and organizers plan a possible future showing. Guild members gifted Mrs. Harry Johnston a bouquet of roses and carnations in appreciation of her services.
