Mrs. John Norrie, confined to bed for several weeks due to illness, has greatly improved and can now get around. L Findlater, previously confined at home with appendicitis, is also much improved.
Lewis Franklin Button and Chris Olsen raced from Button's corner to the Outlook Realty office with Remington Walker as timekeeper. They tangled near the end when Chris fell dragging Button down. both crossed the line simultaneously, injuries reported, bets void, race not rerun.

It notes past provincial drives 26 090 for patriotic fund 1916 Belgium fund 70 000 and calls every school to average 25 to reach 1 000 000. It explains Red Cross support for sick and wounded soldiers.
Regular meeting held in the council chambers at eight p m June 10 1918 with Mayor A A Evans and Councillors Kennedy Cowan Neff and raser present. agenda includes approving read minutes and paying listed bills for printing stationery telephones drayage and belt purchases for the plant.

Miss Ethel Hicks of Delisle visits cousin Miss Maggie Johnson this week. The agreement valued at 70 dollars per acre is noted. Matt is welcomed back and praised for managing a fine local farm. Negotiations were handled by Lewis F. Button.
