Grace Lutheran in Kansas City moved to new quarters and held an Easter service led by Rev. J. M. Cromer with 21 additions joining the congregation.

A new prize book from Lutheran Publication House titled An Adventurous Quest is issued by Mrs. Laura Scherer Copenhaver. It describes a more ambitious effort than her previous works and notes a monetary prize. Readers are advised to order at $1.25 per copy, especially for Sunday school libraries.
Rev T C Parker of Floyd vacationing with his father in Gibsonville N C. In Dansville N Y Rev Chas Bible admitted 23 new members and paid off church debt. Two anonymous gifts to Church Extension Society G S of 500 and 1000 dollars. In Augsburg Lutheran Harrisburg O Rev Stamets admitted 68 on Easter with offerings around 446 dollars. Also note marriage of G A Schieren son of Hon C A Schieren in New York City. he runs a tannery in Bristol Tenn.
Last week in Pittsburg Pennsylvania conferees from the Congregational Christian United Brethren and Methodist Protestant denominations met to pursue an organic union.
Mr. A. Carnegie gave 1000 dollars to 7th St. Lutheran Church Lebanon Pa for a new pipe organ and paid half the cost of an organ for North Zion Church Pa under Pastor Weaver. Reverend P C Croll at 7th St. Lutheran led the gift.
In Pittsylvania County local option results one district named Red Eye is reported as going dry, finalizing the change after the election.
A quiet home wedding took place at Brookside near Saltville Virginia at 12 30 p m Wednesday. Miss Mary Whiteaker and Professor G R Huffard of Wytheville superintendent of Wythe county schools were joined in marriage. Rev James A Huffard of Luray performed the ceremony as flower girl Miss Mary Allen Whiteaker attended. They received many gifts at both homes.

Henkel and Co of New Market Virginia printed Luther’s Small Catechism in neat form with stiff paper cover. It is revised by the Joint Committee of the various Lutheran bodies and approved by the United Synod the General Synod and the General Council.
The Confederate Bazar in Richmond netted over 15000 for a Jeff Davis monument. A Virginia legislator's $200000 historical show funding for Jimtown at Norfolk drew strong opposition to the Virginia Medl and Agr College. Manassas notes trumpet mixed politics and local church events, with Moses Grossman presiding at Elkwood Lutheran services and two confirmands, one aged seventy.
The Executive Committee of the Board of Missions of the United Synod asks congregations to observe Whit Sunday May 31 1903 as Home Mission Day. They pledge 5000 toward the Atlanta Church and seek average gifts of 10 from 396 congregations to complete 3700 more of the fund. The 1903 centennial of the North Carolina Synod held May 2 at St. John’s Church Salisbury featured music, processions, and speeches. Rev. Dr. Holland presided. Rev. A. G. Voigt delivered the central doctrinal address. Rev. Geo. H. Cox spoke on the Voices of a Century. Messages from sister synods were read. Dr. Bernheim’s health limited participation.
The Evangelical Lutheran Synod of North Carolina held its centennial session at St. John's Church in Salisbury beginning April 28, 1903. Rev. R. C. Holland led with Nehemiah inspired reflections on rebuilding the church, as officers were elected and reports praised growth in baptisms and catechetical work, while discussion covered vacancies, missionary efforts, and financial plans for disabled ministers.
E C Cronk writes from Atlanta May 4 1903 reporting a growing Lutheran mission. Since March 15 the congregation has 47 members including 41 residents with about 15 in catechism and plans for Whitsunday confirmation. Enthusiasm rises despite worship in a third floor hall and high local real estate costs.
The late J. M. Burkhart of Cumberland County Pa bequeathed 800 dollars to the Upper Frankford church where he was a consistent member and an interest in a 190 acre farm to the Orphans Home at Loysville Pa.
