Mrs Mary M Vick Remembered in Lafayette Funeral
Mary Melissa Cornink Vick born October 19 1842 in French Creek New York moved to Chicago as a child married to Dr W B Vick in 1865. She lived near Lafayette Montmorenci and Green Hill then with her children after her husband’s death. She died February 28 at her daughter Mrs Peter Boothroyds home. Funeral services were held Sunday with Rev Taylor and Rev C A Sickafoose officiating. Interment in Springvale cemetery Lafayette.

Mrs May Wann welcomed guests and Mrs Minnie Bair replied. state president Mrs Culla Wayhinger arrived and spoke. Officers elected include President Amanda Smith and Vice President Minnie Bair. numerous superintendents named for Franchise Evangelistic Sunday School and more. Afternoon program featured devotions music talks a paper on Judge Ben Lindsay and a noon dinner, ending with a lecture by Mrs Wayhinger.
