Automobile Wreck at Montmorenci Crossing
John McGuire of Fowler and Dennis Connelly of Lafayette were occupants of a Ford that was struck by a westbound freight train at the Montmorenci crossing while traveling from Lafayette to Otterbein. The left rear wheel was torn off and the car was nearly wrecked, though both men escaped with minor injuries. The wreckage is stored at the Spiker garage for inspection.

Auto strikes buggy on Morehouse road injuring three
Joe Quigg John Kennedy and Skip Cole were riding toward their Lafayette home when an automobile attempting to pass them struck the buggy. They were thrown clear and the buggy was badly damaged. All occupants were not seriously injured and had to return to Lafayette to spend the night. The accident occurred on the Morehouse gravel road.
