Bull Moosers Hold Meeting With Local Political Rally
The Progres So meeting at the opera house drew a good audience as eight Otterbein band members tried to enliven the evening. Speakers Rev. J. W. N. Bandy, Will H. Ade, and Martin Quinn spoke, with mixed political impact. Ade, a Congressional candidate, won friends though not strong on campaign points. The Bull Moosers cheered the gathering while railroad business dominated Benton county actions, approving a franchise for the Lafayette & Northwestern line and outlining survey and grading plans from Pine township to Fowler and a possible branch to Fowler. Also listed were uncalled for letters at Otterbein post office dated Oct 1, including Frank Boyer and others, to be returned if not collected by Oct 22.
