Elizabeth A McKinnis McKinnis Dies After Long Illness at Otterbein
Elizabeth A Hawkins McKinnis died suddenly Saturday at home after a prolonged illness. Born August 11 1884 near Aydelette Benton County she married Levi D Brown in 1867 and had four children. After Browns death she married John McKinnis and survived by son Arthur and stepson John E McKinnis, six grandchildren and a brother John R Hawkins. She was a lifelong United Brethren member and lived on farms near Pond Grove before moving to Otterbein.

Terrible Death of Charles M. Martin in Farm Accident
Charles MM. Martin, employed by John W. Rower on a Fowler farm, died after a disc harrow were horses ran away and threw him. He suffered broken hip severe cuts and internal injuries. He died Saturday morning at Lafayette hospital. He leaves a widow and three children. Community sorrow.

Charles Weigle Breaks Arm In Car Accident
Charles Weigle and William Wein were returning from Lafayette when the self starter failed and Weigle, trying to crank the touring car, broke his wrist. He drove home left handed while nursing the injury. An X-ray in Lafayette showed the setting nearly perfect and Weigle could still drive with some pain.
