The Ruth Circle of the U B church will host a bazaar and exchange on December 12 in Otterbein church basement with dressed dolls featured. An oyster supper follows in the dining room. The ad promotes Adlerika as a quick acting bowel cleanser from Burns & Davis Co.
The Brotherhood of the M. E. church led the Sunday evening service and reported a fair attendance. Mr. Pyke delivered an excellent political talk aiming at the Durgan administration in Lafayette, while toasts supported the present administration.
About forty friends gathered with well-used baskets at Mrs. Will Crawford’s home on Thanksgiving Day to remind her that her birthday fell on the date. It was a merry gathering.
The Lafayette bridge and levee project has progressed 80 in recent days and the public is expected to be permitted use in a few days. Jaques & Southworth, Lafayette's leading book and stationery store, has sold to Kimmel & Herbert and will take possession on the new year. Five hundred Chicago trains will be cut out by month’s end. Williamsport moves to form a business men’s association. L. J. Stemnley of Attica, Indiana, has solved a knotty problem and is elected to Sigma Xi for his achievement.

A town resident suggested Otterbein should have a place for young people like an YMCA or similar organization to attract youth. The speaker argued that promoting such a project would be worthwhile even if it failed, noting poverty is a small blessing compared with inaction.

Mrs. John B Mann and children returned from Lafayette where Mrs Mann’s father lay ill.

Charles F. Switzer suffered a broken collarbone and a cut lip after a mule attacked him while he examined its hoof at his home south of town on Monday afternoon. He is on forced vacation from duties.
John Greenan fell from a tree Monday evening and broke his collar bone. He carries his right arm in a sling and remains in the Sun office, missing work this week due to the injury.
