Convention of teachers ends in Evansville 1913
The seventh annual Southwestern Indiana Teachers Association convention closed in Evansville. Miss Helen Rose of Ireland was elected president with a slate of officers. The gathering drew more than 1,400 teachers and eyed 3,000 next year. Laporte county highlighted rural education with county agent L. B. Clore and Purdue training for fifty rural youths.
