Ottawa High School freshmen lost 40-6 to Osage City as the Indians returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Josh Dodd had an early interception but Ottawa fumbled, ending any early momentum. Ryan McPheron scored late in the third quarter, the only Ottawa TD, as penalties and turnovers hampered the junior varsity. Two Ottawa players were ejected. coach Blake Lasley praised the team's heart and noted a tough start and flag woes. Ottawa next faces Sumner Academy on October 9.
