Wichita men keep pieces of famous sculpture sold by mistake
The Kansas Court of Appeals upheld a Sedgwick County ruling that two Wichita men who bid on four pieces of the James Rosati sculpture Upright Form V must receive those pieces. City officials argued the sale was invalid due to a mistake, but the court found the city negligent and that Cuellar and Rogers are entitled to the parts, valued between seven thousand and thirty thousand dollars, with delivery possible in about a month.
