Deputy Hurt Chasing Juvenile in Ottawa Alley
Franklin County deputy Rex Bowling was wounded with a deep leg laceration after chasing a juvenile in an Ottawa alley near South Walnut and Locust. The suspect, a Leavenworth County runaway, fled as officers detained a separate Ottawa juvenile with a court appearance order. Also missing is a white Huskie-type puppy the boy says bit him. a rabies risk looms if not found. Contact Mrs. Cruces at the Animal Shelter if located.

Funeral services for 75 year old Nora L Foley of Crestview Nursing Home and formerly 332 Walnut will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Damron Towner Chapel with Rev Henry Roberts presiding. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery Pomona. She was born January 12 1897 in Michigan Valley and married John W Foley in Ottawa April 22 1914. Survived by son Clair Foley Pasco WA four daughters June Chavez Beulah Shepard Dorothy Roker Sylvia Nutt and many relatives. Also four brothers and four sisters and 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband a daughter and a brother and a sister.

Garcia, 20, of 1002 N Mulberry, is charged with assault and battery with a $100 bond. Walter L. Tegtmeyer, 22, of Princeton, is charged with hindering a police officer with a $100 bond.
