Ottawa High carries three game win streak in La Cygne win
Ottawa High School improved to 3-1 with a 41-32 victory over Prairie View in La Cygne. The Cyclones used early turnovers to pull ahead as coach Rob Hedrick lauded their playmakers and resilience despite injuries. They return home to face rival Paola, a team also riding a three game streak.

In Herington the West Franklin Falcons saw a 13-0 fourth quarter burst turn a 10-0 halftime lead into a 13-10 loss. Cody Renfro's 45 yard TD run gave the Falcons a 10-0 edge at half. West Franklin hosts Effingham next Friday at 7 p.m. In Eudora the Wellsville Eagles fell 19-16 after a last play first half negated TD and redzone struggles. Eagles coach Brad Burkdoll noted turnovers inside the 20 and praised defensive effort. Eudora topped Wellsville with two long scores. Wellsville hosts Santa Fe Trail next Friday at 7 p.m.
