Ottawa Woman 2nd Kidnapping In Week Shocks Downtown
Ottawa police and sheriffs launched a major manhunt after a man abducted Ottawa woman Mrs. Charles LeMaster in the 100 block of South Main using a knife then released her southwest of town. She was scratched but unhurt and car found on East First Street. The suspect, in his early twenties, wore blue jeans with paint stains a gold shirt a beige hip length coat and western boots. Police urged calling 242 3800 with tips and warned women to shop in pairs and keep car doors locked.
