Wall Street edges lower as market trims rally gains
Stocks weakened after a rally spurred by hints of a Fed rate cut. The Dow fell 72.35 to 8082.06 at noon, while the S&P 500 slipped 12.58 to 1053.51 and the Nasdaq declined 15.78 to 1744.49. Volume reached 359.4 million shares as more issues declined than advanced. Local quotes listed several company prices and farm prices were posted by area grain districts.

Three arrested in revenge vandalism in Lawrence Ottawa teens charged
Lawrence man Brett Leon Logan 22 and Mathis L Meadows 17 along with a 15 year old Ottawa boy were arrested early this morning for aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property after breaking into an occupied residence at 800 block South Main. Police say the group kicked in a door and damaged a table, chairs, bike and other items valued at 411 dollars. Two additional juveniles 16 were charged only with curfew violations. Logan remains jailed on disorderly conduct theft and related charges.
